David Murray, MD, announces retirement after 25 years of service
Dr. David Murray, a longtime member of our department, recently announced his plans to retire from Washington University in May 2021.
Dolores Njoku, MD, named Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology
Dr. Njoku will work closely with other senior leaders in the Anesthesiology Department, with Hospital and University leaders in St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and with institutional leaders in BJC and Washington University School of Medicine broadly.

Department ranks 2nd in country in NIH funding in 2020
The department received over $16.1 million in federal funding from the NIH, and six faculty ranked in the top 50 for total NIH funding to individual anesthesia principal investigators.
