The Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University is pleased to announce that Dr. Douglas Thompson will become Program Director of the Anesthesiology Residency Training Program beginning July 1, 2018. For the past year he has been Associate Program Director of the Anesthesiology Residency Training Program.
Dr. Thompson is a graduate of the University of California in San Diego School of Medicine. He completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Thompson completed his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Prior to joining our faculty, Dr. Thompson was the Director of the Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Thompson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis.
