Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to introduce Andrea Rodriguez-Restrepo, MD, as the newly appointed Director of Pediatric Regional Anesthesia at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, effective July 1, 2024. This appointment will provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the pediatric regional anesthesia program.
Dr. Rodriguez-Restrepo earned her Doctor of Medicine from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia, while completing her anesthesiology residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She pursued both pediatric anesthesiology and adult and pediatric pain medicine fellowships at Seattle Children’s and the University of Washington School of Medicine. She joined the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at WashU in 2023 as an assistant professor.
Dr. Rodriguez-Restrepo actively contributes to various committees, including the IDEA task force, the ASA Mentorship Program and Pediatric Anesthesia Interest Group for medical students and residents.
