Dear Colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce that Maggie Bradley and Caroline Phillips have accepted the role of CRNA Team Leaders in Parkview Tower (PVT) and will join Elizabeth Schappe in leading this ever-growing POD!
In this role, Caroline and Maggie will work closely alongside Elizabeth and other physician POD and clinical leadership to assist with orientation, onboarding, and the evaluation of new CRNAs, help develop protocols for specialty areas, and serve as a liaison between the Department of Anesthesiology and members of perioperative services.
Maggie has been a CRNA with the department since 2020 and works at both Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital! She has extensive leadership experience, serving as an organ procurement coordinator and team leader at Mid-America Transplant prior to anesthesia school. At Mid-America Transplant, Maggie assisted with staff deployment, communication with surgical teams, and training new staff. Maggie also worked as a resource nurse in the PICU at SLCH, assisting with precepting new nurses and as an ECMO specialist. Maggie is a strong clinician with a fantastic positive attitude and outlook! We are very excited for Maggie to bring her excellent clinical and leadership skillset to PVT!
Caroline has been with our department since graduating from the Goldfarb School of Nursing in 2013. She has been a core member of the PVT team since graduation, and her clinical skill and knowledge of gynecological, bariatric and urological cases are unparalleled. Caroline will be a tremendous asset to colleagues as a clinical resource. She has a great rapport with surgical and nursing staff and has tremendous insight into the workings of PVT. Caroline is a well-respected member of the POD and will be an incredible, positive addition to our leadership team!
Please join us in congratulating Maggie and Caroline on their exciting new roles. We look forward to the enthusiasm, dedication and leadership they will bring to our department!
