The Parkview Tower and Peters Building (South) locations received the prestigious Silver badge from the Office of Sustainability during the WashU’s Green Carpet Awards Ceremony on November 7, 2023.
The Silver award underscores our sustainability team’s dedication to best practices in four key categories: energy efficiency, waste management, responsible purchasing, and cultivating a sustainable office culture. This remarkable achievement reflects the department’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and integrate sustainability into every aspect of our operations.
Assistant Vice Chancellor for Sustainability, Phil Valko, alongside sustainability representatives from the McKelvey School of Engineering and the Medical School, celebrated the attendees for their commitment to the values of environmental sustainability. Additionally, team members who spearheaded the Low-Flow Anesthesia Project were also honored as Sustainability Champions during the Green Carpet Awards Ceremony, further emphasizing our remarkable commitment to advancing sustainable practices. We hope these accolades inspire others to follow the path of responsible environmental stewardship and look forward to continuing our work in sustainability.
