Discoveries of Distinction
The award recognizes outstanding research on a range of important issues to CRNA/nurse anesthesiologist professionals.
Submissions typically due in March.

Distinguished Alumni Award
Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College wishes to acknowledge the personal, professional and community contributions of its alumni. The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented in recognition of exemplary dedication to the profession of nursing to individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to nursing education, research and service.

Drum Major Awards
The Drum Major Awards will recognize individuals at WashU School of Medicine who embody what it means to be an upstander.

Excellence in Research Award
The annual American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Award for Excellence in Research recognizes individuals for outstanding achievement in research that has or is likely to have an important impact on the practice of anesthesiology. The individual’s work represents a body of original, mature and sustained contribution to the advancement of the science of anesthesiology.

Helen Lamb Outstanding Educator Award
The award is presented to a CRNA/nurse anesthesiologist who has made a significant contribution to the education of nurse anesthetists.
Submissions typically due in March.

James E. Cottrell, MD, Presidential Scholar Award
The annual James E. Cottrell, MD, Presidential Scholar Award recognizes colleagues who dedicate their formative careers to research. Anesthesiologists who are within 10 years of their first appointment to a department of anesthesiology, who are Board-certified in their country of practice, who are ASA members, and who are clinically active in anesthesia, intensive care, or pain medicine are eligible for the award.

Janice Drake CRNA Humanitarian Award
The Janice Drake CRNA Humanitarian Award is presented to a CRNA/nurse anesthesiologist who volunteer(s) and provide(s) anesthesia, education, and training in needy areas of the United States and overseas.
Submissions typically due in April.

John F. Garde Researcher of the Year Award
The award recognizes people who have made significant contributions to the practice of anesthesia through research.
Submissions typically due in April.

Kelley Mullen Clinical Service Award
The Kelley Mullen Clinical Service Award recognizes a clinical support staff member who consistently demonstrates ongoing acts of caring that go beyond the normally expected levels of courtesy, responsiveness, and customer service and creates a positive work environment. This award honors Kelley Mullen, a gifted nurse-clinician and administrator, who exemplified service quality and personified our clinical mission.

March of Dimes – Nurse of the Year
March of Dimes is honored to pay tribute to the nursing profession by recognizing extraordinary nurses throughout the community. Nurse of the Year events honor those who make a difference in the lives of so many.
