Anne serves as the Director of Research Business Operations for the Department of Anesthesiology. A graduate of Washington University (English Literature, French) and Saint Louis University College of Law (JD), she began her academic career in the office of Medical Alumni and Development Programs at Washington University, rising to the position of Senior Associate Director of Stewardship. She was then recruited to Washington University’s Department of Anesthesiology in 2013, where she led a consolidation and strategic reorganization of the research administrative organization in the department.
The Dean’s Distinguished Service Award is the highest form of staff recognition at the School of Medicine, meant to recognize outstanding achievement by a staff member who demonstrates exceptional commitment to the university, exceeding job responsibilities while creating a positive working environment and improving the community. Anyone who works with Anne would say that she exemplifies these qualities.
Anne has contributed to the success of the Department of Anesthesiology and the Medical School on many levels. In Anesthesiology, Anne has built a strong, cohesive team that oversees all aspects of research administration in the department, instilling a culture of collaborative service amongst them; this group is a shining example of what it truly means to work as a team. Under Anne’s leadership, the research administrative team has consistently risen to numerous challenges and provided outstanding service to all members of our department.
