On March 20, 2026, the Department of Anesthesiology welcomed 23 new residents, including three graduates from WashU Medicine.
Selected from an exceptionally competitive applicant pool, this talented and diverse group represents medical schools across 10 states and 3 countries. Each resident brings unique experiences, perspectives, and passions to our program—strengthening our commitment to excellence in patient care, education, research, and innovation. From academic medical centers to community-based programs, their varied training backgrounds reflect the breadth and depth of talent joining WashU Medicine this year.
The incoming class includes:
- 20 categorical residents, who will begin their internship year at WashU Medicine in July 2026
- 2 ASAP research track residents, who will begin their internship year at WashU Medicine in July 2026
- 1 advanced resident, who will start their CA-1 year in July 2027
